- Could you …?-Example: Could you resend your report?
- I would appreciate it if …-Example: I would appreciate it if you send your report again.
- I look forward to hearing from you.
- I'm grateful for your help.
So we use it to talk about imaginary or impossible situations.
The third conditional takes the following form:
We can shorten,
I had to I'd
I would have to I'd have.
In the negative form,
I had not - I hadn't
I would have not - I wouldn't have.
We can also change the order of the sentences and put the result at the start of the sentence without a comma in between:
We would have understood better if the presenters had given us more handouts.

when dan while digunakan saat membicaran dua hal yg sedang terjadi pada waktu yang sama.
Usually we use while when there are two long actions.
Example:
- He was cooking dinner while she was watching television.
Usually we use when if one action is long and the other is short.
Example:
- He was cooking dinner when the phone rang.
We use when if there are two short actions.
Example:
- He opened the door when the phone rang.
We use when if we talk about periods of our life.
When juga digunakan untuk membicarakan periode kehidupan kita.
Example:
- I learned accountancy when I studied in London.
It's common to use contractions in the past perfect, for example:
I'd instead of I had
hadn't instead of had not
To form questions in the past perfect we change the order of the words.
Notice the order of the words plane and hadn't in the following examples:
The plane hadn't even taken off.
Had the plane taken off?
Had the plane not taken off?*
*Note we don't start a question with hadn't*
Often when you’re presenting you’ll be interrupted. It’s important to have a range of expressions to deal with these interruptions. Usually you can follow this structure:
1. Thank the interrupter.
2. Quickly answer the question or say that the answer will be given later in the presentation.
3. Refocus the audience on the presentation.
For example, you could say, "Thanks, could I cover that in a few minutes? Now, as I was just about to point out …"
Sometimes you want to make it clear that interruptions are not welcome. In this case, you might say, 'Do you mind if I finish the presentation first?' That could be seen as a little direct, so you need to consider your audience when using this type of expression. If you tell the audience that questions can be asked at the end, then hopefully there will be fewer interruptions to deal with. However, good intonation is important when dealing with interruptions. You need to sound polite, but you also need to show that you are in charge. Don’t forget to stress the keywords as well.
Berikut struktur yg biasa digunakan:
1. Berterimakasih kepada orang yg menginterupsi
3. Memfokuskan audiens kembali kepada presentasi
Contohnya, seperti, 'Terimakasih, bisakah saya membahasnya setelah beberapa menit?
